Ocean Alexander Yachts Queensland Open Weekends July 2020

Alexander Marine Australia have the pleasure of inviting guests and customers to a Open Weekends in July to view their recently arrived Ocean Alexander 26R (Australian Debut) and 40th Anniversary Special Edition Ocean Alexander 88Sky motor yachts.

At Southport Yacht Club, Gold Coast Saturday & Sunday 4 & 5th of July 2020.

At Rivergate Marina, Brisbane Friday & Saturday 24 & 25th of July 2020.

The latest model in the Ocean Alexander Revolution series, the ground-breaking 26R has arrived at Australian shores.

The 26R was unveiled to great acclaim at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October. The Ocean Alexander 26R is a spacious, family-friendly motor yacht from designer, Evan K. Marshall.

Featuring bold looks, sleek lines and chiselled moulding details, the new 26R bridges the gap between the successful 70E and the larger 90R motor yachts.

At a length of 25.45-metres, the 26R is available in enclosed skylounge and open flybridge layouts. The enclosed model comprises a spacious all-weather skylounge, whereas the open version features the helm station protected via a glass windscreen which is however open down each side, then flowing to a spacious seating area and large bar.

With a beam of 6.29-metres, the vertical bow of the 26R adds significant volume to the forward VIP cabin permitting a walk-around island bed and walk-in robe for guests lucky enough to be staying in this spacious haven.

Other notable design features include her supersize saloon windows, and numerous seating areas for entertaining and relaxing. The skylounge has an exterior alfresco lounging area, barbecue grill and jacuzzi. There is also a generously sized seating area, and sunpads, on the foredeck over which a removable shade system can be installed.

Inside the 26R, finely crafted exotic wood panelling conceal her copious storage spaces. An open galley is adjacent to the separate formal dining area. Below decks, there is spacious VIP forward cabin featuring an island walk-around queen bed, a full-beam master stateroom mid-ships with his and hers ensuite’s and his and hers walk in robe’s, and two twin rooms, each with ensuite.

According to Alexander Marine Australia Dealer Principal, Todd Holzapfel, the new Ocean Alexander 26R is unlike anything available in Australia and New Zealand and will strike a chord with cruising families in both markets.

“The 26R R represents a significant break with ’tradition’ compared to the previous Ocean Alexander 85. This yacht is designed to meet the modern requirements of family boating lifestyles, whether that’s entertaining, enjoying the views, watching a movie, fishing, swimming or long-range cruising.”

Also on display at the Alexander Marine Showcase at Southport Yacht Club on the weekend, is the 40th Anniversary special limited-edition Ocean Alexander 88 Skylounge, which offers a four-stateroom and two crew cabin layout with large galley and adjacent forward settee lounge area, plus an enclosed Skylounge for all weather onboard living and entertaining. The OA88 Skylounge model is also equipped with a high/low swim platform and a luxurious jacuzzi on the top deck.

Ideally configured for the Australian boating lifestyle, the OA88 Skylounge redefines the motor yacht concept, combining classic semi-displacement hull design with contemporary elegance.

Ideal for the Aussie climate, whether in the winter squalls or the balmy tropics, the massive climate controlled skylounge space allows for all-weather entertaining and doubles as an extra saloon for entertaining with a bird’s eye view.

There are a host of innovations in this 40th anniversary model, such as our industry leading use of aerospace grade aluminium beams in the construction process, the use of carbon fibre structural reinforcement, high-end custom fabrics throughout, all complemented by the timeless classic walnut interior.

Her interiors offer an abundance of light, space and luxury. Finishes and fittings are the equal of those in exclusive luxury residences and 5-star hotels. Enormous windows allow light in, and stunning views out of the vessel for those lucky guests on board.

The 88 boasts ample room for guests to socialise in with a choice of multiple interior and exterior entertainment zones, while below decks is a haven of calm and tranquillity. With spacious crew accommodation also.

While the OA88 showcases a continued evolution of design, it retains Ocean Alexander’s world-class heritage of engineering for safety, performance and comfort.

For propulsion, this shaft driven superyacht is powered by twin 1,600hp MTU engines, with the convenience of joystick docking and position hold courtesy of the Glendinning Stationkeeper Position and Heading Hold System technology. For ultimate comfort and stability in all conditions, the OA88 is zero speed stabilized using the award-winning Side Power curved fins.
