Alexander Marine visits Galeon Factory

Alexander Marine Dealer Principal / Director Todd Holzapfel, accompanied by Alexander Marine NSW team member Paul Harkness, recently met up in Poland taking the opportunity to visit one of the Galeon Yachts production facilities in Gdansk Poland.

Their contingent was personally hosted during the factory tour by Galeon Yachts Sales Manager Patryk Pettke and the international dealer liaison Magdalena Kowalska.

The massive facility, strategically located on the Martwa Wisla river where finished yachts can be sea trialled, was in full swing during the visit as Galeon Yachts continues to enjoy strong market demand across its award-winning craft. Indeed shortly after this factory visit the recently debuted Galeon 560 FLY received the 'Best Evolution Award 2023' at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival in yet another trophy for the cabinet at Galeon head office.

The tour evidenced Galeon Yachts scale of production - a long-held strategy to build each element of the yachts in-house rather than utilizing the services of external parties. Amongst the departments visited, our representatives toured the lamination, joinery, electrical and upholstry departments, where the recognisable Galeon diamond pattern stitching is created. Additionally Galeon fabricates their own in-house stainless steel in another company-owned production facility. This strategy of in-house production gives Galeon ultimate control over production quality and delivery timing amongst other advantages.

The long production hall contained no less than a dozen Galeon Yachts at various stages of final completion – all buzzing with activity as an army of craftsmen & women went about their business.

“I was particularly impressed with both the Galeon 560 and Galeon 440 models that we toured in-water at the Galeon Marina adjacent the factory which were almost ready for shipping out to international customers. I am not surprised whatsoever that the 560 won an award - It's an amazing vessel!”, said Todd.

Further to Todd’s meeting with senior management at the factory, he later met with the Owner of Galeon Yachts Mr. Jacek Kobyłko on the Galeon corporate stand within the Cannes Show on-water display to discuss the continued growth of the Galeon Yachts brand in Australia & New Zealand.
