Selene Ocean Trawler's are a world-renowned name in long range full displacement trawler yachts. Designed to take on both ocean crossings and coastal trips with ease, these beautiful vessels are a careful blend of serious blue water engineering, comfort and expert craftsmanship.
Since her launch in 2016,'Leisure Isle' has been cared for by only two owners. Her current owner cruised the vessel down from Asia to Australia as testament to her voyaging capabilities. Selene's are designed by the highly respected Howard Chen and built to Lloyd's Category A standards. Like her sisterships 'Leisure Isle's' interior is graced with beautifully executed joinery, carefully selected veneers and granite countertops.
'Leisure Isle' is a large volume vessel providing multiple entertaining zones throughout the boat for guests to enjoy. These include the weather protected cockpit complete with a moulded settee or the U-shape settee high up on the flybridge to take in the elevated views. The Selene's signature raised pilothouse, safe walk around decks, and Portuguese bridge promote a secure and functional atmosphere for guests moving around the boat - especially when weather conditions deteriorate.
This little ship can accommodate up to six guests within three cabins. The full beam midship stateroom is equipped with a queen-size bed, private ensuite, flat screen TV, desk, and plenty of storage including hanging space. The VIP cabin positioned forward in the bow features an island double bed and ensuite. The third guest cabin features two over and under single beds - this cabin is well suited to use as an office for those owners who continue to engage in some commerce when cruising. And finally but importantly there is a secluded crew cabin aft under the cockpit sole for helpers which is accessed via a water tight door off the swim platform or via the engine room from inside the vessel - the crew cabin utilizes a dedicated additional adjacent wet head for crew bathroom requirements.
The luxurious and fully-equipped galley features granite countertops, Liebherr 279 litre refrigerator, Vitrifrigo 145 litre dual drawer fridge/freezer, Broan electric trash compactor (a necessity for longer expeditions), Force 10 electric oven and stove top, Siemens full size dishwasher and Breville microwave oven. The galley is positioned in the starboard forward corner of the saloon with great sight lines to the entire saloon and cockpit meaning the chef will never feel isolated from the conversation. Aft of the galley (still on the starboard side) a spacious L-shaped settee set around a high gloss extendable hi/lo timber table is a great place from which to enjoy a meal or watch the 48" hi/lo Samsung flat screen TV which is positioned to port with twin white leather bucket seats. Access to the pilothouse is up three steps from the saloon & galley level.
Upon entry to the pilothouse you are reminded that the designers of this vessel intended her to travel great distances. Her full displacement hull design is both economical and affords a comfortable ride - ABT Trac fin stablizers further assist with a smooth passage. Visibility from the helm is fantastic, and to keep the captain company while underway guests will enjoy the pilothouse forward facing settee which is set around a high gloss table. Buyers with the intention to cross oceans will appreciate the pullman watch keepers bunk which is yet another practical feature of the pilothouse. She is equipped with a suite of Raymarine touch-screen electronics which are complemented by a PC-based navigation system for redundancy. A CCTV camera system has also been installed. For ease of docking, the vessel was built with powerful hydraulic thrusters. Coupled with a Dockmate Twist wireless docking remote allows the captain freedom to move around the boat so they can see exactly what is going on and assist with lines.
Up some more steps from the Pilothouse you enter the spacious flybridge area. The captain can elect to drive the vessel from this further elevated helm position, or otherwise, this area serves as another all weather (thanks to the GRP hardtop and clears) entertaining space. The boat deck aft houses the AB Inflatable ships RIB tender and Brower Systems crane for launching and retrieving the tender. The boat deck offers a spacious area to sunbake once the tender has been deployed and the tender cradles removed and stowed.
'Leisure Isle' is powered by ever-reliable, low maintenance and fuel-efficient twin John Deere 6068AFM75 diesel engines at 266HP each. They are housed in her full height engine room. Power while you are away from the dock is courtesy of twin Onan generators. The vessel is also fitted with hardtop mounted solar panels for self-sufficiency. Other notable equipment essential for extended cruising include a Osmosea watermaker at 160 litres per hour, Cruiseair air conditioning throughout the vessel, ESI Fuel Polishing System, and a Reverso oil change system. Immediately forward of the engine room is an extensive tool/workshop and bench where a Siemens 8kg washing machine and Siemens 7.5kg dryer have been stationed. This boat wants for nothing in terms of cruising equipment.
