DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
Alexander Marine are pleased to have SOLD this 2012 Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht.
Entry onto the vessel was via the Esthec-laid hi-lo swim platform. Under the cockpit sole of the 5800's was a handy tender garage that opened with the push of a button when it was time to deploy the tender which was launched and retrieved with the assistance of an electric winch.
You would then appreciate the fusion of luxury indoor and outdoor single-level living which have made the Riviera Sport Yacht series internationally renowned and highly awarded. The cockpit layout and amenities were a combination of clever design and maximum storage. A large forward-facing transom lounge, with storage, under, was positioned across the stern set around a teak table completed with multiple beverage holders to make sure nobody should spill a drop! Forward to port was the wet bar complete with Kenyon electric barbecue, drinks refrigerator and a handy washbasin.
An aft-facing L-shaped lounge to the starboard featured storage underneath and also was the access point to her crew quarters. 'Marbella' cockpit awning extended well aft to provide shelter and shade from the extremities while enjoying everything the cockpit had to offer. Entry to the salon was via a stainless steel framed sliding glass door, in conjunction with a wide glass hopper window opening out from the galley. Once open there was a seamless transition between inside and out. Additional light and ventilation were available courtesy of her electrically actuated sliding sunroof.
When it was time to move indoors guests could relax in the large U-shaped settee to port opposite the helm which was positioned around a high gloss teak table - the table was a hi-lo design permitting conversion to yet another bed. The hi/lo TV was positioned to starboard so as to be easily viewed from the U-shaped saloon settee. The U-shaped galley was located in the aft starboard corner of the saloon and continued to just past the centreline to maximise the working area of the galley. The boat featured gloss-finished cabinetry with positive locks on all doors in the galley and throughout. A stainless steel sink was mounted into the solid surface countertops, and appliances included a Miele three-burner induction cooktop, Miele convection microwave oven, Miele dishwasher and multiple under bench Vitrifrigo draw fridges.
The forward galley counter was fitted with stools which can be utilised as a breakfast bar.
The helm, with an auto-inspired dash, is to starboard and offered a commanding view. Power was via the Volvo IPS system completed with a joystick for ease of docking. Late-model touch screen Raymarine electronics would guide you to your chosen destination. Two comfortable helm seats would mean the skipper had company when requested. Accommodation revolved around a popular three-cabin and three-bathroom layout - and in 'Marbella's' case two additional Pullman style bunks.
The third cabin to starboard had single side-by-side bunks that converted into a double bed. The two-way ensuite for this twin cabin doubled as a day head featuring a large shower and the typical Riviera luxury finish with a contemporary feel. The VIP cabin in the bow featured an island queen bed and its very own ensuite. Every cabin and head had an opening porthole to permit fresh air into that space. Owners received the full-beam stateroom treatment, with headroom on either side of a king bed flanked by a built-in chest of drawers to port and a long chaise lounge to starboard. The hull windows and opening portlights added to the sense of connectivity to the great outdoors, while storage included a spacious cedar-lined hanging locker.
For additional bedding, the lower lounge converted into a set of Pullman bunks sleeping yet two more guests. Back on deck should guests venture up onto the bow they would observe the foredeck sun-pad being another fantastic lifestyle area to relax with family or friends. 'Marbella' was presented in excellent condition and had been constantly maintained and upgraded by her previous owner.
