Alexander Marine are pleased to have AGAIN SOLD the 2009 92 Custom Expedition Charter Yacht 'Texas T'.
Texas T' is an impressive steel expedition charter yacht that is presented in excellent condition having been maintained throughout her life by full-time crew. She was built in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to cruise long-range in comfort and with great economy. She has achieved that brief traversing the South Pacific and Asia multiple times including a recent South Pacific expedition taking in multiple countries that concluded in late 2022. In total she has logged an impressive 80,000 plus nautical miles visiting exotic destinations such as the Chagos Archipelago, Maldives, Myanmar, Andaman Sea, Similan Islands, Phuket, Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi Islands, Krabi, Manus Island, New Hanover, Papua New Guinea, Louisiade Archipelago, Fijian Islands, Swains Reef, Wreck Reef, Kenn Reef and the Whitsundays.
Stepping onboard fishermen and diving enthusiasts will be impressed by her practical teak-laid swim platform and spacious fishing cockpit featuring a large plumbed live bait tank, multiple rod holders, removable S/S stern rails and a powerful saltwater washdown. You will observe a custom-made electric stainless steel BBQ and sink in the port corner of the fishing cockpit. Underfloor this area is complete with bulk cruising storage and a dedicated dive bottle storage rack for 6 bottles. A removable euro awning provides shade to this area when required.
From the starboard side of the fishing cockpit, via a few curved steps, you enter the spacious aft deck entertainment haven which is well protected from the elements thanks to the flybridge/boat deck overhang and removable breezeway mesh panels that block the sun or add privacy. This area features dual molded lounges across the stern, a large eutectic under-counter drinks refrigerator in the port aft corner of the area, and an oval-shaped custom-made high gloss teak timber dining table that comfortably seats eight people. On the forward bulkhead of this area, you will find storage cabinets and drawers plus a rubbish bin recess. Overhead an impressive electric drop-down rod locker is concealed in the ceiling for storage of your offshore fishing rods!
With security in mind entry to the saloon is via a keypad connected to an impressive stainless steel framed electric door that slides open to reveal a spacious saloon area and galley immediately to port. The flooring is polished hardwood timber throughout the saloon and pilothouse, with loose-laid carpet runners through these main living areas. The joinery throughout the boat is a combination of Tasmanian oak complemented by wedge accents and features for a modern yet timeless ambiance. The galley is open to the saloon area as well as the aft deck via a large stainless steel framed top-hinged hopper window, which ensures nobody feels isolated from the other guests. Immediately to starboard and opposite the galley is the interior dining area which has a lounge bar feel courtesy of the two compact tables, with seating up to eight people. The galley features generous bench space for food preparation, quality appliances and a trash compactor for extended time away from the dock. There is ample refrigeration space onboard for those long expeditions via a full-height French door Mitsubishi refrigerator/freezer/icemaker located in the galley, an additionally in the lazarette you have available a huge custom stainless steel eutectic front opening freezer bank.
Moving forward in the saloon, when it's really time to relax, you have a spacious L-shaped lounge to starboard complete with a coffee table, and a cozy reading space to port including a small dedicated reading library. You may care to fix yourself a drink as you walk past the ship's bar to port which is complete with glass storage, a spirits display rack and a glass door under counter wine fridge. Her saloon hi/lo 47" flat-screen TV is located to port adjacent to the library, as is access to the on-deck day head which has the added benefit of being able to be accessed from the port side deck in addition to entry being possible internally via the saloon. The day head is spacious and tiled so that it can be used by guests who are fishing and or have just come out of the water.
Forward of her saloon, you enter her impressive pilothouse, which is suitably equipped with quality duplicated navigation equipment for worldwide exploration. Communications hardware includes HF, VHF and KVH Satellite phone equipment. In addition to her Navigator helm seat for the captain, other guests or crew in the pilothouse can keep an eye on the passage via the forward-facing bench seat in this area. Pilothouse doors to both port and starboard allow quick access to her wide walk-around side decks and up onto the bow when required.
The crew quarters are accessed via a staircase down from the port side of the pilothouse, comfortably sleeping three crew. Accommodation consists of a twin cabin room with over and under-bunk beds and a captain's double bed. These cabins share an ensuite. The ship's laundry facilities are located in the crew area.
Immediately prior to entering the pilothouse, opposite the lounging area on the centreline of the boat, access to the lower guest accommodation is via a beautiful timber curved staircase. On arrival down onto the guest accommodation foyer, you will find four cabins plus a large full-height storage cabinet. At the aft of this area is entry to the spacious full-beam midship master cabin features a large ensuite complete with a full-size bathtub and a separate tiled shower stall with a curved glass shower screen. Forward, the VIP features an island double bed and ensuite. There is also port and starboard guest cabins both having bunk beds and ensuites.
Forward of the pilothouse, she features a Portuguese bridge design island module - for shedding green water overboard in heavy weather which then also doubles as great on-deck storage as accessed from the aft side. Her foredeck features dual oversized anchors and anchoring equipment. Her foredeck and side decks are low maintenance non-skid painted finish.
Her flybridge is an additional spacious all-weather entertaining area. This area is teak laid and is air-conditioned for your comfort when required. A large gloss teak high table seats eight and is positioned forward and to starboard in this area. Further aft guests can enjoy mirrored L-shaped lounges. So as to keep everybody hydrated the flybridge is complete with a glass door wine refrigerator, front opening bar refrigerator, U-line icemaker, and a handy prep sink. Access to the flybridge is both via the internal curved staircase from the saloon or via a ladder in the cockpit.
Aft of her flybridge hardtop the spacious boat deck large enough to carry various water toys and is equipped with a 5.8m Swift centre console RIB - with surplus storage space available for additional kayaks and water toys. For the serious fisherman and when entering unchartered secluded coral cays 'Texas T' is equipped with a masthead Crows Nest driving station complete with instrumentation and engine controls offering 360-degree views as you pick your way into your preferred anchorage. 800 litres of ULP fuel storage is available in a survey approved racked jerrycan system supported by custom stainless steel brackets.
'Texas T' is powered by commercially rated twin Cummins QSM 11's which have proven to be extremely economical and ultra-reliable. The engine room is a spacious area and includes a workbench and utility sink.
She has undergone continual substantial capital upgrades and improvements throughout the life of the vessel and is blue water ready for her next owner. Make no mistake 'Texas T' will take you further, and in greater comfort, than most other vessels of her size - she has proven this numerous times.
'Texas-T' is an Australian Registered Ship and is also commercially registered with AMSA. Her Certificate of Survey is for classes 1D (36 guests + 6 crew) and 2B (10 guests + 2 crew). Charter demand in Australia has never been stronger and 'Texas T' is well suited to a variety of applications including luxury charters, remote area luxury charters and mother-shipping during the game fishing season.
