Alexander Marine are pleased to have SOLD the 2008 Grand Banks 45 Eastbay SX 'Under Cover'.
'Under Cover' was beautifully presented and one of a kind vessel being the only 45 Eastbay SX in Australia. Access via her teak swim platform and into her spacious teak laid cockpit. This area was well suited to entertaining and had been customised for fishing with additional eutectic refrigeration and a gunwale mounted S/S bait board.
At the front of the cockpit you found a sink and a Cookout stainless steel electric BBQ. The entirety of the cockpit was protected from the elements by way of her custom structual hardtop. Access was a breeze from the cockpit up onto the wide walk-around side decks which were perfect for young and old crew members. As per the cockpit her side decks were teak laid, and her toe rails were varnished for a timeless presentation. Her blue hull was 2 pak painted and in excellent condition.
As you stepped up from the cockpit you entered the spacious saloon and you were welcomed by the usual flawless Grand Banks timberwork and craftsmanship. Her saloon was light, bright and breezy with her 360 degrees wrap around glazing featuring an electric opening aft drop-down window, opening centre windscreen, huge glass sunroof and selected port and starboard saloon windows for incredible ventilation. Don't worry - if you were more the air-conditioning type - we had that covered as well! To port in the saloon you found an L-shaped settee and dining table. To starboard you would find a Samsung hi/lo TV and two individual lounge seats.
For the skipper the helm to starboard was fitted with late model touch screen Simrad electronics and a comfortable Stidd helm seat to reel in the miles. The navigator enjoyed a two-seater forward facing bench seat to port. Access to the lower deck galley and accommodation via a centreline staircase down just a few steps. To port you would find a U-shaped galley which got lots of natural light from the windscreen above. Her galley featured a network of overhead cupboards, Corian bench tops, Coolmatic refrigeration, dedicated Seagull water purifier tap, Miele four burner ceramic cooktop and a Miele microwave oven.
Her accommodation layout was a spacious twin cabin arrangement. The master was located in the bow and featured a double island bed, twin bedside reading sconces and 12v fans, Teac 19" TV and access to the ensuite. Her midship guest cabin featured a double bed off to starboard, twin reading lights, and a full-length mirror on the forward bulkhead. Access to this cabin via sliding French doors provided a spacious open feel below deck when in their open position. Both cabins shared the ensuite with double door access from either the master cabin or companionway.
'Under Cover' was powered by Twin Cummins QSC 8.3's at 500hp each permitting an impressive sprint speed. For ease of docking she was equipped with a Side-Power bow thruster and wireless Yacht Controller docking remote.
