2006 Symbol 73 Motor Yacht

Alexander Marine are pleased to have SOLD the 2006 Symbol 73 Motor Yacht 'Phoenician'.

Whenever the topic of legendary yacht designers is raised often the first name on the list is Jack Sarin. His name is synonymous with sophisticated, sleek, modern motor yacht design. His notable naval architecture is associated with the most well-known brands such as Westport, Hargrave, and in this case Symbol Yachts.

'Phoenician' is no exception when it comes to Jack Sarin's idea of style and functionality. This exceptional design takes advantage of every square foot of space to provide four guest staterooms. A stand-up engine room is another notable design feature. Standing dockside, the swept-back radar arch, recessed teardrop saloon windows, and gleaming all-welded stainless steel forward raked handrails create a sleek, modern, Euro Motor yacht image.

The vessel can be easily boarded via a wide integral swim platform with removable stainless steel staples, allowing safe passage aboard. Port and starboard Euro-style staircases usher passengers up to the well-appointed aft deck lounge complete with a refrigerator to port. Across to starboard is a teak step tread ladder to the upper aft deck which provides quick access to the tender and large boat deck storage boxes.

The bow can be accessed from wide, covered side decks, which run the length of the vessel. Port and starboard pilothouse doors allow quick access to the decks for line handling and maximise natural ventilation. The bow boasts a Muir windlass 80kg/176lbs S/S Ultra anchor, a large pulpit with a 36kg/80lb S/S Ultra anchor, and 2 large anchor lockers with both fresh and saltwater washdown outlets.

The flybridge centreline forward helm provides the captain and guests with unobstructed visibility of their voyage. The raised flybridge station includes a single helm chair, twin 17'' Garmin MFD screens, Caterpillar digital engine displays, and Hynautic trim tab controls. A huge Stainless Steel canopy frame with a white stamiod cover and clears protects all passengers from the elements. Aft of the helm to starboard is an L-shaped lounge settee with a dual pedestal white gloss table combined with three pedestal stools adjacent. Other features are white non-slip decks and a wet bar with a sink and refrigerator and a large Kleenmaid BBQ. All the way aft is the AB 12 AL centre console tender with a Mercury 30hp four-stroke outboard, which is easily launched with the large Stainless Steel davit.

The Saloon is accessed through the large stainless steel framed sliding door on the aft deck. Immediately to starboard are lounges with all new upholstery throughout. Adjacent to port is the entertainment center with pop-up 48" TV and cherry cabinets. A spiral staircase in the corner provides access to the dual-purpose aft stateroom/crew room and engine room. Forward of the saloon the open-air galley with new countertops allows the chef to communicate with anyone in the saloon, dinette, or pilothouse. The dinette all the way forward to port has a large pedestal table and a new L-shaped settee. The lower helm is positioned forward of the centerline and features a fully electric helm chair. A full complement of electronic navigation instruments, digital engine monitors, and a traditional steering wheel gives the captain confidence to undertake any voyage. Other appointments include Westmar fin stabilizers, AC & DC distribution panel, and a hand-held Dockmate wireless docking remote. The massive saloon windows, pilothouse windows, and white overhead ceiling panels showcase abundant light throughout the cabin.

The staircase down to the forward staterooms starboard of the pilothouse allows access to the accommodation. Forward is the VIP stateroom with an island queen berth. The VIP cabin features cherry cabinets, hanging lockers, an overhead hatch for light and ventilation, reading lights, and private access to the head with a separate shower stall. The head has a 2nd door in the companionway, to enable its use as a day head. Adjacent to the port is the twin cabin featuring side-by-side berths.

The full beam midship master features an island king berth with enough drawers and cabinets on the port and starboard side for the owners to comfortably cruise for months. Large portholes and light-colored vinyl overhead reflect plenty of light throughout the cabin. A large ensuite features a huge shower stall, and a Horan quiet flush electric head.

The engine room is forward of the dual-purpose master behind a watertight sound-insulated door with a viewing port. The engine room boasts plenty of headroom between the engines. One standout feature is her large walk-in cool room which can be accessed via the dual-purpose aft stateroom or via the aft platform lazerette door. 'Phoenician' has benefited from her owner's constant upgrades and is cruise ready and awaiting her next adventure.
