Alexander Marine are pleased to have AGAIN SOLD this 2006 Offshore 64 Pilothouse Motor Yacht.
Offshore Motor Yachts are regarded as a well-built and highly capable long-range motor yacht. 'Calm Spirit' had an impressive cruising history having proven to be comfortable and economical while previously exploring from Tasmania in the South to the Whitsundays in North Queensland.
Her raised pilothouse design, and William Crealock hull, provided a great platform from which you can reel in the miles. A popular design feature of these boats is the cockpit and saloon areas being nice and low to the water. Likewise 'Calm Spirit' offered significant weather-protected exterior entertaining spaces including a huge cockpit and massive flybridge area - including two full-sized double lounges in addition to the molded seating adjacent to the flybridge helm station - the entire elevated area enjoying great views.
Entry onto 'Calm Spirit' was via her hydraulic hi/lo boarding platform which was great for swimming and ease of stowing her Zodiac RIB tender. Accessed from the hi/lo platform was via dual transom doors to both port & starboard.
The oversized cockpit which comfortably seated ten for a long lunch was protected from the elements with side deck wing doors and fixed/fold up clears. Her deck finishes were all hardwearing and low maintenance (no teak to maintain) diamond pattern non-skid.
A fixed upholstered bench seat was installed across the transom set behind a striking gloss black granite tabletop. Internally the spacious saloon and galley were on the same level - which flows seamlessly out into the cockpit when entertaining. The large fixed glass saloon windows provided a bright and open feeling in the saloon which was complemented with a beautifully hand-crafted teak interior throughout the vessel. Gloss black granite countertops added a feel of luxury and refinement onboard.
Up a few steps and you then entered the pilothouse level which featured two Navigator helm seats and all the desired equipment for extended cruising - including the recent installation of new touch screen electronics. There are helm doors out each side from the pilothouse - great for both natural ventilation and also ease of access around the boat - the walk-around side decks make access right around the boat safe and easy.
Below deck, there was accommodation for six guests in three cabins. The mid-master was a full-beam complete with its own ensuite. There was a twin over and under bunks cabin to port, plus the VIP up forward in the bow featuring the typical centreline island double bed. These two cabins shared an ensuite.
The engine room was accessed from a cockpit hatch and featured Offshore Yachts time-proven engineering and layout. Of note were 'Calm Spirit's' two lazarette areas - the aft one being under the cockpit bench seat and separated by a bulkhead from the main lazerette which featured a handy electric opening hatch.
In summary, this vessel featured loads of storage space for all your cruising essentials! 'Calm Spirit' was powered by a pair of MAN 800 Hp diesel which provided great economy at 9kts (48 litres per hour combined fuel burn at this speed), or a respectable sprint speed exceeding 20 knots when it's time to run for home. She was fin-stabilized for comfort when underway. Her cockpit docking station, complete with hydraulic bow and stern thruster controls, would make berthing a trouble-free experience. Your power requirements when away from the dock were taken care of via her Onan Genset which would power her onboard 240v appliances including the late model Stella Watermaker, clothes washer & dryer, and air-condition systems to name but a few of the systems that permit extended time onboard this lovely motor yacht.
'Calm Spirit' had just returned to the water with new bottom paint being fresh from a sandblast to remove antifoul layer build-ups. Her hull and superstructure had been polished and were gleaming!
Her owner had consistently made meaningful upgrades to the vessel during their ownership. She was indeed blue water ready!
