DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
Alexander Marine Australia is pleased to present the 2005 Azimut 62 'Platinum' to the market as worldwide central agents.
Renowned for their stylish Italian craftsmanship and exemplary performance, Azimut Yachts have maintained their reputation as a wise and innovative motorboat manufacturer for more than 50 years.
From the moment you lay eyes on this beautiful vessel, you will admire her magnificence, not to mention that she is commercially registered. An astute buyer could reap the financial benefits of charter operations should they wish. 'Platinum' operates in 1D for 23 unberthed passengers plus 2 crew.
Stepping aboard this luxury cruiser via the generous teak swim platform, you enter the roomy aft cockpit with a sofa and dining table - an ideal entertaining area offering protection from the elements.
To port, a custom stairwell with comfortably wide steps leads up to the generously sized flybridge housing another area for guests to enjoy expansive views in comfort.
Alternatively, from the rear cockpit, follow the teak side decks out to foredeck where lies a deluxe sunbed with more uninterrupted views. Threefold full-length sliding glass doors form the entrance to 'Platinum's' luxurious saloon, inviting the outside in, a favoured feature enhancing the spacious interior even more. Stepping inside, the first tier of the saloon is decked out in a beautiful cream lounge surrounded by the warmth of timber finishes on horizontal surfaces.
'Platinum's' internal space elegantly flows from one area to the next, initiated by the flowing curves and rounded edges throughout the boat. She is filled with natural light from the double reversed shark-fin-shaped windows bordering the saloon, a well-known Azimut feature enhancing the light tones and impeccable high gloss lacquer, providing a touch of class to this exquisite interior.
On the elevated tier of the saloon is another lounge/dining area adjacent to the fully equipped gourmet galley with stainless steel appliances. With a superbly appointed helm station sculpted into this area, the captain is always included in the festivities.
There are four cabins, including a versatile crew cabin which can be easily converted into extra storage, workshop or dive room. The master suite is a full-width amidship cabin situated at the end of its own private companionway offering full privacy. This spacious suite personifies luxury cruising with a double island bed below large oval windows which bathe the room in sunlight. The surrounding mirrors give a sense of even more space. The owner's ensuite is embellished with Italian luxury finishes. There is no shortage of storage with a selection of well-sized drawers and hanging space in the full-sized walk-in robe. This master cabin is absolutely stunning and effortlessly captivates the eye of the beholder.
The VIP guest cabin is located in the bow offering the same features, style, and panache as the master suite. The third cabin houses two single berths. All cabins are airconditioned.
Reviewer's time and again note the impressive user-friendliness of the Azimut 62 declaring no feelings of intimidation handling a boat of this size. The lower helm station is positioned forward giving the impression of a smaller vessel. It is this feature that gives confidence to the owner/driver.
The Azimut 62's solid build, coupled with her 30-tonne displacement, aids stability and flattens the ride keeping the bow relatively low compared to other cruising yachts of this size.
The twin Caterpillar C18 engines give performance approaching 30 knots, cruising comfortably at 24 knots. You will notice the engine noise or lack thereof. Azimut was one of the first production builders to adopt silencer-free underwater exhausts. Combined with a heavily insulated engine room this adds to the luxury cruising experience.
The cruising station is extremely comfortable with an adjustable wheel and an electric plush leather chair to suit any individual. The engine room is well designed with daily servicing needs kept in mind, and here you will also find a 180L/hour desalinator and 22KVA Genset. Overall 'Platinum' is an excellent blend of size, space, performance, and European design perfectly capable of an owner/driver relationship or room to accommodate a professional captain and crew for personal use or commercial charters.
