Alexander Marine are pleased to have SOLD this Grand Banks 46 Classic.
The Grand Banks 46 Classic ranked among the finest cruising yachts ever produced. With her timeless trawler profile, seakindly hull, and elegant teak interior the 46 Classic had defined cruising luxury since her introduction in 1985. Stepping aboard 'Sandpiper" was a joy for lovers of natural wood joinerwork. While exterior teak was restricted to cap rails and decks, the cabin inside glowed with warm wood. Teak cabinetry was of the highest caliber, and had a furniture-quality finish and craftsmanship.
The lower helm to starboard featured excellent visability an aray of electronics with dual helm door providing excellent ventillation and natural light adjacent to port a unquie breakfast bar with stools. This optional layout configuration provided for a galley down allowing for a large U - shaped galley that featured dual door full size refrigeration with plenty of storage with gas appliances. Guests stayed in the forward stateroom, which offered a V-berth with a full head with a separate stall shower to starboard, fwd a washer/dryer was located. An L- shaped lounge configuration, abaft the helm to starboard allowed for entertaining large groups.
Aft the master stateroom featured a walk-around queen-size berth providing even more storage space under and a corner vanity with seperate head and shower. There was easy access to the flybridge, via the aft deck stairway that led to the centre line helm station. The vantage point of the helm station gives generous visibility for both cruising and manoeuvring. A large lounge complimented the bridge area for guests to relax and enjoy the view. Grand Banks was such a common sight at most marinas that it was easy to overlook the consistent quality that has gone into the brand for nearly 40 years.
