DESCRIPTION & DETAILS

Alexander Marine are pleased to present the 1969 Halvorsen 40 Flybridge 'Colorado' to the market in collaboration with Anchorline Yacht Brokers.

Introducing the Halvorsen 40 Flybridge 'Colorado' - a classic beauty with a rich history and a recent transformation that elevates her to a new level of luxury and performance. Meticulously restored by Norman R Wright & Sons in Brisbane between 2013 and 2017, and further enhanced by Russell Marine at Coomera in 2022, this timeless vessel seamlessly blends heritage charm with modern amenities.

Originally built as 'Colorado' in 1969 by Halvorsen, this vessel has undergone a journey of transformations, embracing a legacy that spans decades. The restoration work undertaken by renowned factories ensures she retains her classic allure while boasting contemporary features.

Step on board to discover the cockpit perfect for outdoor relaxation. To port and starboard, you'll find recently refurbished lounges, boasting new foam cushions and ultra leather diamond-stitched upholstery that complement the saloon lounges. These versatile cockpit lounges are cleverly crafted to convert into full-length single beds complete with storage underneath, offering flexibility for any extra overnight stays. Alternatively, transform the space with four foldable chairs and a charming timber coffee table, creating a cosy atmosphere protected by clears, ideal for enjoying every moment regardless of the weather.

Through the teak sliding door, you'll discover a meticulously refurbished interior featuring new teak and holly flooring, stone benchtops in the galley, and a stone vanity top in the bathroom. The saloon exudes comfort featuring a newly upholstered lounge to starboard with a moveable and expandable teak table, two tub chairs to port, a custom TV cabinet with a 32" Hisense TV, and a Bluetooth Fusion stereo system.

She is fitted with the latest navigation technology at the helm station to port forward of the saloon. Including new Garmin GPS Plotter, Sounder, Autopilot and VHF in 2022. The helm includes a helm door for easy access out onto the side deck.

Her interior layout is a galley-down configuration which permits a spacious saloon area dedicated to relaxed lounging space. The galley is located to starboard featuring a custom stone benchtop, Vitrifrigo 130L drawer fridge, Force 10 oven and a Force 10 two burner gas stove.

The vessel's accommodation layout comprises a forward cabin featuring two single berths that convert into a V-berth with two sets of custom-made fitted sheets by Sheets Ahoy. Additionally, there is a separate head across from the galley, equipped with a Tecma toilet featuring a custom teak seat and a frameless shower stall.

Up a few steps from the cockpit via a ladder, you enter the flybridge level which features a wide and upholstered navigator helm seat and all the desired equipment for extended cruising including the new Garmin touch navigation package. The flybridge helm has been renovated for a sleek and functional layout, making every journey a pleasure.

At the bow, you'll find a S/S 21KG Ultra Anchor connected to a Muir vertical electric windlass with 8mm chain.

Equipped with new Yanmar 4LHA-HTP 160hp diesel engines in 2017, along with new gearboxes, alternators, propellers, and shafts, the Halvorsen 40 offers a trouble free cruising experience. The hydraulic steering system and Side-Power bow and stern thrusters installed in 2023 add an extra layer of maneuverability for hassle free docking.

The exterior is not to be outdone, with a two-pack polyurethane paint job to the hull, epoxy sheathing, stripped and re-varnished brightwork, and new covers for the cabin, coach house, and flybridge. A new stainless-steel ladder to the swim platform, teak navigation light mast, and custom helm wheel add the finishing touches to this nautical masterpiece.

Under new ownership since May 2022,'Colorado' has undergone additional improvements by Russell Marine. These include new house batteries, an upgraded inverter/battery charger, a revamped galley with stone benchtops, and a fresh bathroom layout. The list goes on, encompassing everything from new outdoor carpeting to a full fuel and water tank service.

With an extensive list of upgrades, meticulous maintenance, and a proud history, 'Colorado' stands ready for new adventures. Whether you seek a classic cruiser for leisurely voyages or a statement piece for your maritime collection, this vessel promises an unparalleled blend of heritage and innovation.

You are invited to book a private inspection to view this vessel. If you are unable to travel to inspect this vessel, we would be pleased to offer you a personal guided video tour via telephone with one of our yacht consultants.
