Divergence - Sneak Peak of Shape-Shifting Show Stopper

At the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Alexander Marine Australia will share first impressions and a sneak peek at the incredible Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence destined for debut at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show in August.

Hailed as a game changer in the centre console market, the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence rewrites the rules of this popular segment.

Drawing on the design hallmarks and pedigree of Ocean Alexander’s larger yachts, the 45 Divergence is powered by quad 350hp Mercury Verado outboard engines and is all about enjoying the aquatic lifestyle, placing equal focus on comfort as much as horsepower.

At an overall length of 47ft with a 13ft beam, the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence has a capacity of up to 16 people and features unprecedented levels of luxury for a boat its size.

The foredeck has a large sunbed, seating and table. Aft, there is comfortable lounge seating and a dining table for up to 10 people which conveniently lowers to floor level when it’s not required. The cockpit barbeque, sink and fridge set-up is ideal for entertaining, while at the helm, there are three helm seats and an ergonomic control panel.

At anchor, the aft side cockpit gunwales fold down to expand the usable recreation space and enhance a unique alfresco dining experience. Hidden swim ladders also make it the ideal day boat for all water sports.

Below decks, the sense of space and quality of finishes are superyacht standard. The cabin comprises dining table with banquette seating that converts to a double berth. The toilet and shower room features windows and overhead skylights for illumination and air flow.

Off the back of the successful launch of the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence at the Miami International Boat Show in February, the first model destined for our shores is kitted up for cruising, but is just as appealing as a platform for island hopping and great days out on the water with family and friends.

“We took a very careful look at this segment and realised that we were in the perfect position to design a boat in this range. Instead of coming at it from a perspective of a centre-console builder who’s expanding their line, however, we looked at this with the fresh eyes of a luxury yacht manufacturer designing for a more compact space.”

Todd Holzapfel said the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence will undoubtedly be the “absolute showstopper” at the Sydney boat show, appealing to boat owners and adventurous families seeking the freedom to embrace life on the water in luxury and style.
