Did you know that our team regularly travels internationally visiting shipyards, global brokerage partners and the largest boat shows keeping up to date with the most current high-demand yacht and superyacht offerings? Here is an overview of such trips so far in 2025.

Monaco - Brokerage Superyacht Inspections

The first trip of 2025 for our global yacht acquisitions & superyacht division took Alexander Marine Australia Dealer Principal/Director Todd Holzapfel to the glittering coastline of Monaco, a renowned hub for the world's most luxurious superyachts.

Todd was there to inspect a superyacht for a repeat customer seeking an upgrade, and during his time there, Todd conducted an in-depth inspection of a specific yacht including a sea trial, and reinforced relationships with Monaco based global brokerage associates.

Germany & Poland - Galeon Yachts

Earlier this year Alexander Australia Marine Dealer Principal / Director Todd Holzapfel travelled to boot Düsseldorf - the world's largest yacht and water sports exhibition, which included a visit to the expanded Galeon Yachts stand. The show saw the World Premiere of the inboard powered 435 GTI, which later won an award, the redesigned 640 FLY and a concept reveal of the 620 FLY ‘Design Revolution’, which promises to redefine modern yacht design.

As the exclusive importer and distributor of Galeon Yachts in Australia & New Zealand, Todd also recently visited the Galeon International Dealer Conference, which was held at the Galeon Yachts production facility in Gdańsk, Poland. The event showcased Galeon Yachts' focus on product innovation & design, strengthening after-sales service and the implementation of a unified global marketing strategy to align with Galeon Yachts' commitment to luxury and innovation. With many exciting advances in the pipeline, we are excited with what's in store for Galeon Yachts in the near future!

Taiwan - Ocean Alexander Yachts

With a rich heritage spanning over 45 years, Ocean Alexander stands at the forefront of the yachting industry.  Producing GRP superyachts in the 27–37m range, Ocean Alexander is consistently recognised as Taiwan's largest yacht builder. In a June interview with Superyacht Investor, Global Operations Director Dan Mundy shared a strong outlook, highlighting continued momentum despite current global uncertainties. Thanks to its reputation and strategic production, the brand often has four to five yachts in build - meeting demand from clients unwilling to wait the typical 2.5 years for delivery.  Read the story here.

The Netherlands - Moonen Yachts

Last month Todd visited the Moonen Yachts shipyard in the Netherlands to inspect first-hand the progress of multiple new Moonen Yachts currently under construction.

Having recently sold and settled 'Willow', a brokerage Moonen 84 superyacht, our global yacht acquisitions & superyachts division is looking forward to transacting more of these yachts, renowned for their quiet operation, timeless lines, and impeccable finish.

'Willow’ is the third Moonen 84 that Alexander Marine Australia has had the privilege of transacting, including the Moonen 84 sistership 'Amphitrite' and the well-known Moonen 84 sistership charter yacht 'Aurora', highlighting our reputation as the 'go-to' brokers for long-range motor yachts. 

In early June this year, the shipyard confirmed the sale of the seventh hull in its successful Martinique series - the 37.4m (122’8”) Moonen 122 Martinique YN205. Moonen Yachts are also pleased to announce the pending completion of the eighth Martinique in their acclaimed series: the 122ft YN206, which is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and will showcase an interior by the renowned Vripack Yacht Design studio. This fast-displacement, transatlantic motor yacht combines exceptional Dutch craftsmanship with advanced safety features for true peace of mind at sea. 

The Netherlands - Zeelander Yachts

While in the Netherlands, Todd also visited the Zeelander shipyard, where he got to witness various models, including a Zeelander 8 in build, as mentioned in superyachttimes.com. We are delighted to report that Hull # 4 of the Z8 model has now sold - such is the popularity of this new flagship model. Read the story here.

Italy - Benetti Yachts

At the invitation of Benetti Yachts, to further develop our deep understanding of this iconic superyacht builder for the benefit of Alexander Marine Australia’s clients, Todd added visits to Benetti’s Livorno and Viareggio Italy production facilities.

Founded in 1873, Benetti is one of the oldest yacht builders in the world. The Benetti Yachts production facilities are a world-renowned hub of Italian craftsmanship and innovation. Combining advanced technology with timeless artistry to build custom and semi-custom superyachts in GRP and Steel, up to 100 metres, that embody luxury, performance, and impeccable attention to detail.
