DESCRIPTION & DETAILS
Alexander Marine Australia are pleased to present the 2010 Bering 55 Euro ‘Little One’ to the market.
‘Little One’ is a long-range ocean-going passagemaker built for economical cruising. If you’ve been considering a Nordhavn, Marlow, or Selene, this vessel deserves your attention. With a solid steel hull, practical design, and thoughtful systems, ‘Little One’ combines comfort, capability, and peace of mind for extended voyages.
The saloon is warm and inviting, featuring an L-shaped lounge and table perfect for relaxing, dining, or watching TV. Large windows flood the space with natural light and make the most of the outlook, creating a comfortable environment for entertaining or unwinding.
Adjacent to the saloon, the galley is well equipped for serious cooking, with full-size domestic fridges, ovens, microwaves, and plenty of bench space. The layout keeps the cook connected to both the living area and the wheelhouse, where an elevated table allows meals to be enjoyed with a clear forward view.
The wheelhouse is elevated forward of the galley and designed more like a small ship than a yacht. Reverse-facing windows reduce glare and UV heat while giving the pilot a full 180-degree view. Five large-format digital screens provide comprehensive navigational information, supported by VHF and HF radios and systems for monitoring fuel, water, and more. Bow and stern thrusters make berthing straightforward, and wireless headsets make communication with a deckhand simple. For improved stability, ‘Little One’ is equipped with fixed bilge keels. Despite her size, ‘Little One’ is highly manageable, with her current owners reporting comfortable handling as a couple.
Accommodation includes three guest cabins. The master stateroom is forward in the bow, with a private ensuite, cross-ventilation through portholes, and large cedar-lined wardrobes. Guests enjoy a queen berth to starboard and two king singles in the third cabin to port, sharing a generous bathroom for both cabins. The steel hull provides a quiet, comfortable environment with no hull slap, ensuring restful nights onboard.
The flybridge can be accessed via an internal staircase from the wheelhouse or by a staircase from the rear deck. The flybridge is laid with solid teak, it is a generous space suitable for entertaining, with a raised helm that provides excellent visibility while underway. From here, it is easy to enjoy the view ahead or keep watch for marine life while cruising.
For those interested in practical systems, the engine room is a highlight. Accessible through a watertight door in the aft portside guest cabin, the layout is organised and highly functional, with everything easily reachable and a workbench with sink included. ‘Little One’ is powered by a single Cummins 285HP engine, cruising at 7.5 knots while consuming just 24 litres per hour, giving an approximate range of 2,000 nautical miles with reserve. A small backup Cummins wing engine provides added security. Electrical systems include two Onan gensets, three 5kW Victron inverters, and an 800-watt solar array charging 2,100 amp hours of batteries during daylight hours. Safety and redundancy are a priority, with multiple backup systems for navigation, engines, anchors, and generators.
‘Little One’ is seriously for sale and represents a rare opportunity to own a capable, ocean-ready passagemaker that doubles as a comfortable floating home. Contact Alexander Marine today to arrange an inspection and see all that this exceptional vessel has to offer.
You are invited to book a private inspection to view this vessel. If you are unable to travel to inspect this vessel, we would be pleased to offer you a personal guided video tour via telephone with one of our yacht consultants.
