The well-equipped galley positioned forward on the saloon level to port is a chef's delight. It features a Fisher & Paykel upright fridge/freezer perfect for long-range cruising, a Force 10 gas cooktop, Force 10 gas oven, microwave and a Siemens dishwasher. The U-shaped galley layout maximizes efficiency, making meal preparation a pleasure even at sea.
The saloon also features a separate day head positioned to starboard, conveniently located opposite the galley, which is fantastic for entertaining.
Up a set of steps on the starboard side of the saloon leads to the large raised pilothouse, with the dash area featuring ample room for navigation equipment including her recent Raymarine upgrades ensuring confidence underway. An L-shaped settee at the aft of the pilothouse is complete with a fixed table for guests to enjoy the unparalleled visibility underway while keeping the captain company. Located above and behind the settee is a single athwartship watch bunk, offering flexibility for an "off-watch" crew member to take a nap when underway. Her navigation and electronics specifications include a FLIR thermal night vision camera, Inmarsat Satellite Phone, and Ocean TV Marine Satellite Antenna connected to VAST decoder for seamless connectivity and enhanced navigation. Her powerful hydraulic bow and stern thrusters make handling effortless. A wired docking remote (with a suitably long cable) provides full mobility around the vessel when berthing. Alternatively, docking can be conducted from a total of four stations located to port and starboard in both the Portuguese bridge and separately in the cockpit - these fixed stations control propulsion to the "get home" engine and hydraulic bow and stern thrusters. For added convenience, pilothouse doors onto each side deck beside the raised pilothouse provide easy access all around the boat onto the wide teak-laid side decks with handrails, designed for both adults and children to ensure onboard safety. 'Carrum' is also Keypower hydraulic fin stabilised while underway for maximum guest comfort.
Descending the starboard-side staircase in the pilothouse you access the lower deck accommodation featuring a spacious two cabin layout. The midship master cabin boasts a new queen-size mattress, vanity desk, Kogan TV and a large private ensuite (which is super spacious given she is a two cabin layout) creating a serene retreat. The forward VIP cabin also features a queen-size bed and private ensuite, ensuring guests are pampered. The lower accommodation companionway houses an Asko washing machine and dryer, providing all the comforts of home.
A true entertainer space, the flybridge offers an L-shaped fabric-upholstered settee and a hard-wearing GRP finished table. The flybridge dash features the same upgraded Raymarine navigation equipment as down below. Twin Todd helm seats provide comfort for the captain and navigator. Other features include a Dometic bar fridge/freezer and an Eno gas BBQ. Aft of the seating area is the separate non-skid boat deck for the AB 3.5M RIB launched via a ADC 500kg davit. The flybridge also features a substantial hardtop and clears for protection from the weather and upon which four solar panels are mounted.
At the bow, an upholstered seating area invites you to soak in the view. Her anchoring equipment includes a 63kg stainless steel Excel anchor and a secondary Lewmar Delta galvanised anchor connected to dual Maxwell 3500 hydraulic horizontal windlasses for reliable performance.
Her spacious lazarette under the cockpit sole offers ample storage space for bikes and other gear. The engine room can be accessed through the walk-in entries from the lazarette or master cabin, or via a floor hatch in the galley equipped with a fixed ladder.
'Carrum' is powered by an ever reliable John Deere 6125AFM75 525hp engine, complemented by a large John Deere 4045TFM auxiliary 121hp "get home" engine providing redundancy and dependable performance. The "get home" engine is installed in an in-line orientation with the main engine and engages onto the main propellor shaft as required providing up to 5 knots of boat speed. In terms of 240v A/C power generation 'Carrum' is equipment with a Keypower 10KVA hydraulically driven generator (providing 240v at all times the main engine or get home engine are running) and also a stand-alone Northern Lights 5KVA generator to take care of the onboard power requirements such as the washer and dryer machine, air conditioning, and water maker. Other notable equipment includes Raymarine engine room camera, Fireboy engine room fire suppression system, Blue Water Explorer water maker, and significant MasterVolt inverter/charger hardware to harness the full capacity of the six Lithium batteries. The fuel transfer system's Racor dual fuel filtering ensures clean, efficient fuel delivery, while an electric oil transfer pump simplifies and expedites oil changes enhancing overall engine maintenance and reliability.
