Alexander Marine’s global yacht acquisition division are pleased to have SOLD the 2008 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse ‘First Light’. 

Step aboard ‘First Light’, a meticulously maintained 2008 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse. She exemplifies the elegance, stability, and spacious layout expected from Grand Banks, ideal for owner-operators seeking both luxury and practicality for extended cruising. 

Starting aft, the teak cockpit provides a welcoming setting with twin varnished tables that expand to accommodate formal dining. The expansive bench seating, overhead lighting, and a drop-down privacy shade offer comfort and ambiance, while the swing-in transom gates and teak steps lead effortlessly to the flybridge. 

Inside the saloon, recent updates include plush soft goods and a new carpet, enhancing the cozy U-shaped sofa and teak cocktail table. A hi/lo TV with a Bose sound system completes the entertainment area, surrounded by windows equipped with blinds and screens for natural light and privacy. Adjacent is the galley, with upgraded twin refrigerator drawers, a Miele induction cooktop, and a Samsung microwave. The teak and holly flooring extends to an L-shaped dinette opposite, creating a sociable space for meals. 

The lower helm features modern navigation with dual Raymarine Axiom MFDs, a bow thruster, and intuitive controls, making this yacht manageable and inviting for an owner-operator. Side doors provide instant access to the decks, and an adjustable Stidd helm chair adds both comfort and functionality. 

Descend to the lower deck, where three cabins await. The master aft cabin includes an island queen bed, ample storage, and a private ensuite with a separate shower. The forward VIP cabin and the twin guest cabins each offer inviting spaces with dedicated storage and natural light. The day head serves both cabins, and includes a Bosch washer/dryer for added convenience. 

The flybridge is equipped for entertaining and navigation, with new Sunbrella cushions and two teak tables for lounging. The upper helm, outfitted with dual Raymarine screens and autopilot, complements the captain's Stidd chair and co-captain seating. An updated bimini top shelters the seating area, while an Aritex davit and new Zodiac RIB tender expand your adventure possibilities. 

On deck, the side rails and Portuguese bridge provide security underway, while the bow offers additional seating and a powerful windlass with stainless steel anchors. The engine room houses twin Caterpillar C-15 Acerts with up-to-date services and only 2,300 hours, plus an Onan generator and Naiad stabilisers to ensure smooth cruising.
