Alexander Marine Australia's global yacht acquisitions & superyachts division are pleased to present the 2007/2023 Alloy Yachts NZ 34m Motor Yacht 'Akiko'.

From the moment you step aboard, 'Akiko' communicates something most motor yachts of her length cannot: genuine intent. Her shark-grey hull and metallic silver and highlights of charcoal on the superstructure carry a purposeful restraint, no unnecessary brightwork, no performative gestures, just a silhouette that reads equally well at anchor in a remote Kimberley bay as it does in a Mediterranean marina. The 2023 refit, which included a complete interior redesign by Lahaus and a full exterior repaint, refreshed that silhouette without altering its character. The quality of Alloy Yachts' aluminium construction, the reason she earned five awards in her launch year, is immediately evident on approach: the fairness of the hull, the precision of the joinery, the weight and solidity of every fitting.

The main saloon reflects the full scope of the Lahaus redesign. Where an earlier era of displacement motor yacht interiors often prioritised durability over warmth, 'Akiko's' interior strikes a different note, rich, considered material choices and well-judged lighting that make the space genuinely liveable rather than merely functional. Lounge and dining areas share the main deck saloon in an open arrangement that draws natural light through the hull-side glazing and connects naturally to the aft deck. Crestron smart ship management, a Bluos multi-room audio system, nine Samsung Smart TVs, and Starlink Maritime connectivity are integrated throughout, present when wanted, invisible when not.

The flybridge is laid out for proper entertaining. A Teppanyaki bar anchors the space, positioned so that guests gather around the grill, an arrangement that works equally well off a remote anchorage as it does in port. The volume of outdoor entertaining space gives 'Akiko' a social character that belies her 34-metre LOA, creating distinct areas for dining, lounging, and taking in the view without any sense of compression.

The aft deck, raised to main deck level during the 2023 refit, creates a seamless indoor-outdoor connection most appreciated when dining alfresco. It is properly covered, generously sized, and connects directly to the swim platform below, where 'Akiko's' tender complement stands ready: a 7.5-metre Smuggler Marine RIB carrying up to ten guests, a SeaBob, paddleboards, kayak, and a full watersports package. Dive equipment and a compressor are stowed in the lazaretto. A 4 × 5-metre inflatable pool deploys in calmer anchorages, turning any protected bay into a private water park.

Accommodation is arranged across three decks for twelve guests in five cabins. The owner's suite occupies the full beam of the bridge deck, relocated there during the 2016 McMullen & Wing refit and retained as the centrepiece of the Lahaus redesign, with a private aft terrace that gives the principal owner a separation from guest areas rarely found on a 34-metre hull. A VIP cabin on the main deck provides a second principal stateroom, while the lower deck carries a double cabin and two triple-berth cabins, an unusual configuration that suits extended family groups.

Twin Caterpillar engines deliver a maximum speed of 13 knots and a comfortable cruising of 10 knots, with a range of 3,500nm at cruising speed, 4,300nm at a more conservative 8 knots. The bulbous bow improves both efficiency and seakeeping in open water; the zero-speed stabilisers installed transforms the at-anchor experience. Dual Caterpillar 51kW generators, twin water makers producing 13,000 litres per day, and 33,000 litres of fuel capacity give 'Akiko' the autonomy her range figures promise. The comprehensive 2023 refit was followed by further upgrades in 2025, she presents in exceptional condition for a vessel of her age and ambition.

You are invited to book a private inspection to view this vessel. If you are unable to travel to inspect this vessel, we would be pleased to offer you a personal guided video tour via telephone with one of our yacht consultants.
