2006 Moonen 84 Motor Yacht

Alexander Marine are pleased to have SOLD the 2006 Moonen 84 Motor Yacht 'Willow'. 

'Willow' is a testament to Dutch craftsmanship, designed for long-range cruising with exceptional seakeeping ability. Under the immediate previous ownership, 'Willow' enjoyed an extensive six-month refit and hull extension in France, and then embarked on an incredible journey via Bermuda, the Bahamas, Panama, and beyond, proving her capability in offshore passages. Her travels have taken her through the Pacific, from Hawaii to Kiribati, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, Tonga, and finally to her most recent home of New Zealand. From her New Zealand base she has explored Fiji, the Three Kings Islands, and Whanganella Banks. 

As mentioned above a substantial custom hull extension has completely transformed her stern with the swim platform now configured as a purpose-built teak-laid fishing cockpit perfectly suited for fishing, diving, and ease of access to the water generally. A watertight access door from the fishing cockpit provides entry to both the engine room and crew quarters. Convenient access up into the cockpit is granted via stairs to port and starboard through the safety gates. The teak-laid cockpit is thoughtfully designed, featuring a fixed upholstered aft settee around a gloss timber table with room for additional seating, creating an inviting space for alfresco dining or relaxation. 

Entering the saloon through the stainless steel-framed sliding door, you're welcomed into a warm and stylish space. To port, a large U-shaped upholstered sofa invites relaxation, positioned opposite a storage unit and a drop-down TV. Two additional chairs on the starboard side provide further seating options. Timber flooring, complemented by a large carpet rug, adds to the refined yet comfortable atmosphere. 

Forward of the saloon, the galley is discreetly tucked away to port. Equipped with stainless-steel benchtops and high-end appliances, including a Blomberg upright fridge/freezer, Miele induction cooktop, Miele oven, and Miele dishwasher, it provides everything needed for gourmet meals onboard. To starboard, the dining area features a curved dinette with a fixed upholstered settee, a glass table, and four loose dining chairs, ensuring an elegant yet social dining experience. 

The pilothouse, accessed forward of the galley, features twin Recaro Marine helm seats and an extensive array of Simrad navigation electronics with Timezero navigation software. Side pilot doors to port and starboard offer seamless access to the side decks, while an internal staircase leads to the flybridge. Equipped with a bow thruster and Naiad Type 2032 stabilisers, 'Willow' delivers smooth handling and stability, even in challenging conditions. 

Below deck, 'Willow' offers a four guest cabin accommodation layout designed for maximum comfort. The full-beam midship master suite boasts an island king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and a private ensuite. Forward, the VIP cabin features a queen-size bed and private ensuite, while the port guest cabin includes a double bed with a single bunk and private ensuite. The starboard guest cabin offers two single side-by-side beds with an additional bunk and private ensuite. With separate crew quarters for four, accessible via the transom or cockpit, the yacht ensures privacy and convenience for owners and guests alike. The crew area includes a kitchenette and two cabins, each with single bunk beds, alongside a Miele washing machine and dryer. 

The flybridge is the ideal space for entertaining, accessible via the cockpit staircase or previously mentioned internal pilothouse staircase. The helm station to port includes a comfortable upholstered bench seat, complemented by additional navigator seating to starboard. A large U-shaped settee with a dining table sits opposite a well-equipped BBQ station, complete with an Isotherm fridge, U-Line icemaker, and sink. Adjacent the BBQ station is a large sun pad for lounging. The aft boat deck houses the Besenzoni davit for launching the Zodiac 4.2M RIB, as well as bean bags for ultimate relaxation. 

Forward, the teak-laid bow features a large sun pad and a forward-facing bench seat, providing yet another inviting area to soak up the sun and enjoy the view. 

The generous and immaculate engine room offers ample headroom and houses twin Caterpillar 3406E engines at 475hp each, ensuring reliable performance. Additional features include twin Kohler 27KW generators and a HEM water maker, highlighting 'Willow's' self-sufficiency for extended voyages. 

Meticulously maintained and proven on global passages, 'Willow' stood out as a well-equipped, elegant, and capable motor yacht. From exploring remote destinations to cruising closer to shore, she delivered comfort, reliability, and adventure to her owners, and has now found her next chapter.
